Atlántica Handling

Atlántica Handling is the company responsible for the maintenance of aircraft, passengers and baggage across the Canarian airports where the operating airline Binter Canarias, has hired Plan B Group for the implementation of the Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment and Health and Safety at Work based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accordingly.

By this fact, Plan B Group has conducted consulting activities requested by Atlantica Handling in their certifications in each of the rules that give rise to the Integrated Management System, applying the requirements of each standard to the business processes and developing documentation and implementation thereof, as well as a comprehensive internal audit prior to its successful certification by Bureau Veritas. As a result of the joint effort it was developed over 100 documented procedures that reflect the reality of the operations of the organization. In October 2013 it was proceeded to the certification audit. For 5 days, three auditors of the certification authority, proceeded to visit the general service facilities, the transit among Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, proving success, due to the final result that was the certification of Atlantica Handling alongside the congratulations from auditors.

The implementation of the Integrated Management System has been accompanied by a tailored training to make the firm more efficient in system control and raising awareness of people for each procedure, knowledge and skills for successful management based on the requirements of each standard.
